Description:
Deer Creek Reservoir is a dammed portion of the Provo River; Deer Creek State Park centers around this reservoir. Adjacent to the bigger and more famous
Wasatch Mountain State Park,
Deer Creek State Park features an 8-mile trail that stretches along the western length of this elongated reservoir, providing open view of the water from the hillsides above.
A non-motorized trail, Deer Creek Trail is open to hikers, runners, bikers, and horseback riders. Many fishers also use this trail to access the western shore of the lake. The trail has two trailheads, one at each end.
On Deer Creek Reservoir's eastern side, Rainbow Bay and Island Beach are open for day use only.
