6th October City is another new Cairo satellite city, similar to New Cairo. 6th October city is around 30 km south-west of Downtown Cairo, at the beginning of the Cairo-Alex Desert Road.Full of villas, gated communities, businesses and recreational facilities, this is where Cairo's great and good are increasingly looking to relocate. Beyond checking out the malls, restaurants and cinemas, there isn't really much to attract the foreign visitor.
