Friedhof Fluntern (Fluntern Cemetery) is the final resting place of Irish author James Joyce who died in Zurich in 1941. His grave is marked with a statue by American sculptor Milton Hebald. His wife Nora is buried beside him. Other prominent people buried in Fluntern Cemetery include Nobel-prize winning author Elias Canetti and Swiss illustrator Warja Lavater.
