Located at the north end of Zion National Park, the Kolob Canyons area has the same breathtaking scenery, but about one-tenth of the visitors. Come here to escape the crowds and bask in the quiet glory of southern Utah's wilderness. A short drive up I-15 from the more well-known southern entrance to the Park in Springdale, Kolob Canyons has a visitors center to check out for more information and backcountry permits. Kolob Arch is the most famous landmark; it demands a strenuous hike to enjoy its natural beauty. Treat yourself to dinner halfway between Kolob Canyons and St. George to the south at the delicious Cosmopolitan Restaurant.
