Present Moment was mindfully designed as an oasis on the white hot sands of Troncones Beach. It is a retreat center with daily yoga practice as well as bodywork, dance, guided meditation and other healing arts workshops. The 10 private bungalows at the resort are a unique blend of luxury and ecological considerations with palapa-thatched roofs, 400 thread count linens and powerful rain disk showers that will wash away any lingering muscle aches from the intensive yoga classes. Bath linens, Aveda toiletries and even meditation journals are provided to all guests.Outside of your private retreat space, the grounds of Present Moment are filled with tropical flowers, palm trees and quiet meditation gardens. There is a large pool that anchors the resort as well as an open-air yoga pavilion and massage tents located right on the beach. There are twice daily group classes as well as private instruction, QiYong and other meditation groups and occasional intensive life coaching retreats with guest instructors. Beyond the resort, guests have access to additional local activities including surfing, horseback riding and trips into Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa.
The restaurant at Present Moment focuses on healthy gourmet food that capitalizes on the abundance of fresh seafood and produce in the area. The prices are on par with other 4 star resorts but are considerably generous in size and flavor. Sunset brings most guests to the restaurant terrace for happy hour and a spectacular view. Live music, drum circles and dancing on the beach close out the night.
Breakfast and at least one class are included in the daily rate. Weekly packages often include more classes, meals and even massage sessions. Non-guests can visit the restaurant from 8am - 10pm as well as participate in any of the open classes for a drop-in rate of $12 USD. Massage, private instruction and other individual sessions can be arranged through email or by stopping in the guest shop at the entrance of the resort.
