Hotel Zihuatanejo Centro's best attribute is right in its name: it is central to everything.  Located on one of the (primarily) pedestrian streets in downtown Zihuatanejo, you are only a few steps away from restaurants, bars, the mercado and shops.  Playa Principal is only 2 blocks to the west and you can leisurely walk to Playa Madera in less than 15 minutes. 

The hotel rooms are sparsely furnished and are in need of an update -- most of the furniture and bedding are at least a decade old.  However, they are well cleaned and if you are looking for a place to crash in between beach trips and bar hopping, you won't find a more convenience spot. 

There is a small pool which is great for cooling off before heading out for dinner.  Most rates include breakfast at the onsite restaurant but make sure it says so on your receipt upon check in to avoid confusion.  There are 74 rooms at the hotel as well as a sister hotel, Isabel Suites, down the block so it is an option worth looking into for large parties.
