With only 6 bungalow suites, Amuleto is an exclusive boutique hotel that literally will make you feel like you are on top of the world... or at least on top of Zihuatanejo. Perched high on a hill above the southern end of Zihuatanejo Bay, there are spectacular views from every room of downtown, the bay and beaches, as well as the open Pacific Ocean waters.Each suite features a unique design and has its own outdoor spaces including terraces with hammocks, shower gardens and several even have their own private infinity dip pools. There is extensive artisan work in each room with handlaid stone and handpainted tiles as well as detailed woodwork. The bedding is made from 1,000-thread count Egyptian cotton and unique Mexican textiles drape the chairs.
Those guests who don't have their own dip pool can relax by the main pool that is located in front of the on-site gourmet restaurant. Room service is available from the restaurant as well. The rooms have internet access and air conditioning but proudly do not have televisions or alarm clocks, hoping to lure guests into a timeless space of sunbathing, cocktails and sunsets.
Rates range from $550-800 USD per night with a 3 night minimum stay. Children under age 16 are not permitted unless a party books the entire hotel. The rates are double occupancy and include breakfast.
