During the day, Bandido's serves as a respite from shopping at the Artisan's Market across the street with ice cold beer, refreshing limonadas and plenty of delicious Mexican dishes. Sports fans flock here on game days. But the real draw that fills the large restaurant is when it converts to salsa club on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with live music. Local Cuban band, Son de Aca, brings traditional salsa music as well as a mix of modern Mexican dance hits which draws tourists and locals alike. A party atmosphere takes over with dancing waiters, balloons and stiff drinks. Prices in direct comparison to other local bars are a bit more but there is no cover for the live music so the cost balances out. Marcos, the owner, is almost always in house and his attentive eye to detail, as well as a commitment to great service, is a major reason why Bandido's is so popular.
