Kids Restaurants in Winter Park
As a suburb of Orlando, Winter Park is, first and foremost, a family place. As such, there are a ton of kid-friendly restaurants. Sure, it's definitely got the reputation of being one of Orlando's most sophisticated neighborhoods, but local restaurateurs still know that Winter Park's families need great places to eat. One of the best places to take your brood is Winter Park Village, a dining, shopping and entertainment complex located west of Park Avenue on Orange Avenue. Here you'll find nearly a dozen restaurants, several boutique and chain stores, and the Regal Winter Park Village 20 movie theater. Dining favorites here include The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, and the new Mitchell's Fish Market. All of which are kid faves. But the place that takes the cake for kids visiting Winter Park Village is most definitely Johnny Rockets, a fifties diner featuring ice cream floats, burgers and fries, and loads of other kids specialties. Across the street, Wazzabi's wins kids over with their teppanyaki bar where chefs show off their grilling skills right before their eyes. For breakfast, be sure to take the kiddies to KeKe's Breakfast Café where the kitchen delights diners with banana split waffles and banana-nut-caramel French toast. Kids are welcome at all of Park Avenue's upscale restaurants, but Briar Patch is truly your best bet thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. Besides, most children usually don't appreciate Luma's Foie Gras-Chicken Liver Parfait or Circa 1926's Lobster Cavatapi Pasta.
