Washington DC has is going on. For everything rooftop bars and karaoke joints to live music and dancing, the nightclubs of Washington have just what you need. A great place to start is Chief Ike's Mambo Room, which is all about the serious business of showing patrons a good time. With its wildly varied attractions each night, a wide range of people - from college students to professionals - you'll have no problem blending in with the in-crowd. Club Heaven and Hell is a long-time favorite with a varied clientele due to its split personality. The upstairs level is dubbed "Heaven," with angels and other ethereal creatures painted on the walls. Downstairs, in "Hell," a completely different mood dominates. The basement is dingy and vaguely sinister, with demonic images adorning the walls. If you're a music lover and haven't stopped by at 9:30 Club, you're really missing out on something. One of the few lesbian bars in town, Phase One has been open on Capitol Hill for years. Overall, Washington DC has a variety of lively nightlife options and dozens of great nightclubs and bars.
