There's a time and place for fun restaurants in Victoria - and it's most of the time. When you're ready to kick back, let loose and maybe go a little wild, the informal eateries of Victoria are ready to provide the venue, the vibe and the fuel to get the good times rolling. (Just be sure to cover your mouth when you laugh.) Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub is Victoria's oldest and favorite pub, serving ales, beers and wines and combining them with a range of delectable contemporary fare. Rebar's motto is "Chuck that diet!" but, quirkily, most of the items on the menu are vegetarian, from Thai curries to hummus. Every morning when it opens its doors, John's Place comes alive with the sound of laughter and orders being yelled back and forth. Brasserie L'Ecole was once a Chinese school and the interior of is a rich blend of reds and browns with a polished wood floor and slate-topped bar. Pagliacci's is one of the city's original roosts for night owls and it maintains its late-hours atmosphere today. Any fun restaurant in Victoria is a great place to come in out of the cold and enjoy good food and good times.
