Nestled in Keefer Place, down some steps from the Stadium Station Skytrain stop is a delightful gem of an Italian restaurant, Verace Pizzeria and Enoteca. Their specialty is Neapolitan style pizza that's cooked in an oven at a blistering 900 degrees for about 90 seconds. These pizzas are made from only the best ingredients to give them a true Neapolitan touch. Their delicate, yet chewy crusts are made from naturally organic European TIPO 00 flour, which is essential in getting that classic chew. San Marzano tomatoes are known for their gentle acidity and fresh, clean taste, which makes the base of the sauce that much better. You won't find shredded mozzarella from a block here, but you will find fresh mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella on Margherita pizzas, and Grana Padano or Parmigiano Reggiano grated over some others. They've got a great selection of antipasti to start your meal off, and a nice mix of soups and salads. Their Caesar salad is delicious! There are also a number of different pasta dishes to choose from if you're cravings aren't leaning towards pizza. With over twenty different pizzas to choose from, some having a tomato base and others not, you will satisfy whatever hankering you have. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, without being stuffy and is perfect for a date, a girls night out, a family dinner or an order to-go. There is also a kids menu for the little ones in your group. They're open for lunch and dinner during the week, as well as brunch on weekends.
