Description:
The sunsets from the Wicklow Pub are some of the best in Vancouver's restaurant and pub scene. Located right on the water in False Creek, it's the perfect place to stop and grab a bite while you're strolling along the Seawall. On a warm day, make sure to take advantage of their patio, but if the weather is frightful, sit inside their stylish interior. The drink list has a number of beer, wine and whiskey on the menu that can be enjoyed alone, or with some of the tasty items off of their menu. Try the Salmon Burger and you won't be disappointed. Using local and wild sockeye salmon, it's grilled to perfection and not over-done and is served on a light kaiser bun and you have a choice of fries, salad, coleslaw or soup. It's simple, but delicious and fresh! The crab cakes on their appetizer menu are also a solid choice and can be enjoyed as a small main or shared. Using rock crab, they are fried until they're golden and crispy, served with basil oil and pink peppercorn and chive aioli. The menu also has other pub favorites like fish and chips, pot pies, stew and burgers. Not to mention the other items that you don't typically see on a pub menu, like tiger prawn gnocchi and chicken and ribs. On a warm, sunny day, you can't go wrong with spending some time at the Wicklow. The price point is also easy on the wallet.
