Perched on the edge of the West Coast, Vancouver serves up some of North America's best seafood. With a taste for preserving our environment, local tuna, salmon, crab, oysters and mussels can be found on the menu of Vancouver's restaurants. Raw bars, oysters bars and seafood inspired restaurants are popular, and a number of restaurants adhere to the Oceanwise Program, which promotes sustainable fishing.
Coast Restaurant is the quintessential seafood experience. If you're there with more than one person, order the seafood tower and enjoy it's multiple layers of decadent chilled seafood.
Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar is a high end restaurant and if you're looking to really impress your dining companion, you will score major brownie points when you take them to this Yaletown gem.
If you love oysters, Rodney's is going to make you weak at the knees. Not only do they have a huge selection of oysters to choose from, but they make all of their accompaniments in house. Joe Fortes is also another great place to grab some oysters and has a slightly larger menu for those that don't love everything seafood.
Fresh seafood is a Vancouver staple and the options are really quite endless. So, make sure to take advantage of the freshness while you're here!
