Pubs in Vancouver
Pubs are the perfect spot to grab a drink after work, catch up with friends and even enjoy a little nosh if you're feeling peckish. Vancouver is scattered with a number of great pubs around the city and whether you're looking for something more traditional or contemporary, you won't be hard pressed to find it.
The Irish Heather is beautiful in its design and has hit the nail on the head when it comes to the perfect pints on tap and an extensive whiskey collection. Hidden in the back of the Heather is Shebeen, a charming second pub that not everyone knows about. The atmosphere on both sides is incredibly laid back and the crowd is quite similar, well dressed, discerning tastes and people that love a cold one!
The Granville strip is well known for clubs, bars and rowdy crowds, but at the very end of the strip is the Morrissey and it's one of the strip's best places to go for a drink. The inside is stylish, the bar menu is reasonably priced and offers quality ingredients to help soak up some of the booze you're likely consuming. There's ample seating and the servers are always friendly, which makes this an ideal place to go with a group of friends.
The Brickhouse is an acquired taste and if you're into a vibe that feels like your uncle's old basement and hipsters, then this is the place for you. It's incredibly laid back and the perfect place to go where you don't feel as though you have to put on a show.
Cardero's has the best of both worlds, a pub feel on one side and a full restaurant on the other. Whether you're going for some drinks or eats, you can enjoy the amazing views of the North Shore mountains and head out to the Seawall for an evening stroll.
