When the sun goes down, Vancouver's dancing shoes come out to play. Depending on the type of music you're looking for and the type of crowd you're after, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Honey is a smaller venue, but the music and crowd are always tip-top. With a large dance floor and enough comfortable seating to rest your feet when they get tired, it's win-win for everyone. If the line for Honey is too long, Lotus is literally right beside it, so you don't have to go too far.
Shine is an underground-type venue with lower ceilings, a hip crowd and good music. Shine's location is also ideal because it's right in the heart of Gastown, which makes it easy to club hop the night away.
Celebrities is on Davie Street and if there was an official gay club, this would be it. Fabulous dancers, fun music and a huge dance floor are what makes this such an awesome spot. Not too far away is Bar None in Yaletown. It's a veteran club of Vancouver and is a solid place to go if you want to get out and bust a move.
The Lamplighter is a favorite spot amongst younger crowds and the line-up stretching across the sidewalk is a sure sign that there are many people that want to get in the doors. Once inside, there's plenty of room to dance, sit down or play some pool.
Many clubs around Vancouver switch up the type of music they will be playing on certain nights, which is a great way of keeping things fresh. And, no matter what day of the week, there's always a place to be.
