El Camello Jr.
Address:
Avenida Zamna between Kukulcan and Palenque
Tulum, Mexico
NileGuide Expert tip:
This is the place for fried fish and ceviche.
Description:
The owner's name is Antonio, but don't expect to find him here because he is always fishing. This is the freshest seafood you'll find in the area.
Besides the fried fish (75 pesos) and the ceviches (50 to 120 pesos for just fish, and 60 to 130 for mixed), they have tacos, and the seafood soup is very good (90 pesos). There is a small bar that offers whiskey, tequila, and rum. Beers are also available for 18 pesos.
This place is crowded, and it can be difficult to seat large parties.
It is at the end of town, where Avenida Tulum turns into Avenida Zamna, on the left hand side, if heading south from Cancun.
