This local chain first opened its doors in Tucson in 2005, when long-time Tucsonans Paolo DeFilippis and Jeff and Fran Katz introduced the "design your own chopped salad" concept to the Old Pueblo. The fresh salad concept has taken off, with the restaurant adopting a new design and name (Choice Greens used to be known as "Chopped"), as well as opening two other locations around town. Healthy eaters and lovers of fresh ingredients will love choosing from over 50 ingredients and 20 dressings, customizing their salad and then seeing it chopped and tossed by Choice Green's salad experts. If your craving something less leafy, Choice Greens also carries a good selection of gourmet sandwiches and panini.
