Catalina Mountains
The Catalina Mountains are perhaps Tucson's most popular playground. The little town of Summerhaven on Mount Lemmon offers a cool break from summer heat. In winter, skiing is sometimes possible. Catalina State Park in the western foothills and Sabino Canyon northeast of town are popular for hikes and picnics.
