Tel Aviv celebrates the opening of the swimming and tourist season with a grand day of tours, activities, beach volleyball tournaments, music and food, all centered along the miles of beautiful beachfront. One tour starts at 10 a.m on Friday, May 6 and takes visitors from the Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa to the Tel Aviv port and ends at the trendy Tachana complex near Neve Tzedek.The second tour from 10-11 a.m focuses on the central beaches near the London park area. Cost for each tour is 40 NIS
Beach volleyball tournaments will take place on the beach, along with groups of wandering musicians all along the promenade. Stop for an iced coffee or a cold beer at one of the many beach cafes that line the Tel Aviv coastline. Oh, and don't forget to go in for a dip in the Mediterranean!
