There is so much to do in the Tampa area and if you have a family, this is a great place to come. No matter what interests your children have, there are endless possibilities for everyone. Spend a day on the beach building sand castles, chasing waves, or swimming in the surf. Or take the kids to Bush Gardens which is fun for all ages. They even have a Sesame Street section where toddlers will delight in small rides, a water park, and of course, the characters from Sesame Street. Hop on over to Adventure Island for a day of water fun, or visit the Florida Aquarium to learn about the fishes. Depending on the time of year you are visiting there are also many opportunities to enjoy some of the local fun including the Gasparilla Parade or Guavaween. Come in the early spring to enjoy some of the sweetest strawberries you've ever tasted and have fun at the Strawberry Festival. Or enjoy sunsets and an outside movie and music at Pier 60 in Clearwater. You won't run out of things to do, but you will run out of time so be sure to check out the favorite things to do in the area before heading here.
