Yue Yan Pho, or Vietnam Garden Pho in English, is arguably the best place for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Taipei. The interior space has a sleek, modern feel, and the simple, no-frills menu lists options in both English and Chinese. Pho is a traditional Vietnamese street food consisting of a beef broth with thin slices of beef, bean sprouts, and aromatics served with rice noodles. Yue Yan Pho's version, listed as beef noodle soup on the menu, doesn't disappoint. The bahn mi, a French bread baguette stuffed with succulent grilled meat, pickled carrots and daikon radishes, and a sweet sauce is worth a trip as well. As you'd expect in a Vietnamese restaurant, each table comes with a bottle of Sriracha sauce (a rarity in Taiwan) and hoisin sauce.
