Located next to the Misukushi Department Store, Saffron dishes up the best Indian cuisine anywhere in the city. The small menu may not have many familiar-sounding dishes, but everything is good. The curries and fried appetizers, like samosas or pakora, never seem too greasy or oily, and the chefs will gladly adjust the spice level to suit your tastes. The restaurant's tandoor occupies a small room with big glass windows, so diners can watch the chefs prepare the fluffy and delightful naan and tandoori grilled meats. Standout dishes include the baigan bharta (eggplant with garlic, onion, and cilantro) and the chicken tikka masala.
