Elephant Cafe, located behind the Dun Nan Sogo department store, is a cozy little Western cafe that is easily missed amongst the other restaurants in Taipei. While there's nothing in particular about the cafe that would make someone go out of their way to visit, the cozy, casual atmosphere and good food are worth it for those in the neighborhood.On the weekends, Elephant Cafe serves hearty and reasonably priced brunch plates that can be customized with various types of breakfast meats, eggs, and potatoes. Some of the other items are a bit wacky, like the tuna bagel sandwich served with peanut butter, but for the most part, the food is good and the atmosphere is pleasant.
