Looking for a fun and friendly restaurant in Taipei? A great place to check out is Grandma Nitti's, a three-storey restaurant with a rooftop terrace offering Western cuisine in the midst of the Shi Da area. Another solid choice is Twins. There's an unmistakable flair of the popular chain restaurant TGI Friday's here, especially in the menu choices. However, Twins is more appropriately a nightclub with live bands playing a selection of western pop music while the deejay takes over after 11 pm. Silks House is a Chinese restaurant located at the Grand Formosa Regent Hotel. The restaurant has an oriental charm with interiors done in Chinese calligraphy and other traditional arts. The name might bring to mind a picture of a wee poodle with tufts of fur around the ankles, and the people who come to Fifi are just as chi-chi. Located about a three minute walk from the MRT station, Shi Pai Night Market comes alive around eight in the evening and is worth a trip. This is by no means an exhaustive list of Taipei's great fun restaurants, but it should get you on the right track.
