Enjoy the Lake Tahoe area's spectacular scenery as you drift down the Truckee River. Over the course of this 2-3 hour self-guided tour, you'll raft the 5-mile stretch from Fanny Bridge to River Ranch at the entrance road to Alpine Meadows. Water level depends on snow fall the year before, and the damn usually stops letting water out of the lake by mid-August. You can do it in a inner tube or rent a fun raft for several people right at the river. Bring beverages, a hat and sunscreen.
