Day 1 - Stockholm

Start your day at the Town Hall, where you can make your way to the top of the tower for an excellent view over the city and the surrounding area. From Kungsholmen cross over to Gamla Stan, a quaint part of the city popular with tourists. Spend some time exploring the small alleyways that are reminiscent of a different time. In Gamla Stan you will find both the Royal Palace and the House of Nobility, both worth a visit because of their beautiful architecture. After a morning of walking, you will be ready for a quick bite at Cafe Kaffekoppen where you can sit in the heart of Gamla Stan and enjoy the surrounding colorfully painted buildings. In the afternoon head towards the center of town where you can do some shopping galore. Drottninggatan, Hamngata and Biblioteksgatan are all full of shops and cafes, as well as great people watching; you will certainly see some well-heeled Swedes. End the day with an evening stroll at Kungsträdgården, and then head to the Grand Hotel for a fancy pre-dinner drink.
