Not everyone in Russia is an oligarch but everyone likes to eat well and the solution is the country's many good cheap restaurants, many of which can be found in St. Petersburg. The James Cook Cafe and Pub offers a huge selection of coffees from all over the world on the cafe side, while the pub side has an excellent selection of drinks and hearty fare. Housed in an 18th century monument, the Pushka Inn Restaurant and Bar serves Russian cuisine with a twist. Kavkaz Cafe and Restaurant offers the choice between wiling away a little time in fairly functional surroundings oir ndulging in an immaculate setting modeled on the restaurant's Caucasian roots. Even Picasso was a starving artist at one time and the restaurant that bears his name features fantastic Picasso-style decor and food that the young abstractionist could have afforded before he hit the big time. There are a number of good restaurants in St. Petersburg for a quick meal on a tight budget.
