Description:

Fort Berg (also known as Fortsberg) is a ruin of a Danish fort that was the site of a slave revolt in 1733. It sits atop Fort Berg (Fort Hill), the mountainous peninsula that juts out between Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole. The fort is on private property owned by the Samuels family and is not open to the general public. However if you want to visit, go to Fred's Bar and Restaurant in Cruz Bay and ask for Fred or Faye Samuels. They will give you permission to visit the premises.
