The Mandarin Gallery opened after a $200 million dollar facelift in 2010, to bring Singapore an exclusive shopping experience with over 100 small shops. Differentiating itself in a saturated market, the Mandarin Gallery has concentrated on attracting independent designer boutiques, making a welcome change from the same-old high street and designer brand names which feature heavily in the other Orchard Road malls.Linked to the Meritus Mandarin Hotel, the mall offers four levels of retail therapy: Levels 1 and 2 are home to smart boutiques with international designer labels; level 3 mirrors the edgier and dynamic style of casual and sports labels and level 4 features lifestyle brands.
The mall is also home to several good eating options, including breakfast favourite Wild Honey, wine & cheese haven Jones the Grocer and favourite ramen hangout, Ippudo Ramen.
