Sometimes you're in the mood for a wild party, sometimes you're in the mood to relax. Luckily, if the laid-back mood comes calling Shanghai's pub scene has you covered! With a few excellent Irish pubs to choose from, you'll have your fill of Guinness. Or, head to one of the regular dives or pubs in town where regulars congregate to while away the weekends.
For Shanghai's best Irish pubs, head to O'Malley's in the French Concession, or Dublin Exchange in Pudong. Both offer excellent Irish cuisine as well as fully stocked bars and beer specials to make the real Ireland proud.
Flanagan's is also an excellent choice, though more of a brauhaus than a pub, per say. You'll find excellent selections of beers and food as well as a reclined and content crowd of customers.
Local Shanghai dive bars can become your favorite hangouts. Windows is a tried and true that offers beer for around 10RMB and simple meals on the cheap. With pool tables and darts, its no wonder the place is so popular!
Sasha's and 1931 Cafe Pub offer a high scale of pub more in the British tradition of drinking than the Irish, dive or German laid-back atmospheres. You'll find the drink you crave at a price you are happy with at these centrally-located establishments.
