This joint is about as put together as a bar can be, with excellent bar food like oysters, sandwiches and cold cuts from el Willy, fantastic cocktails (RMB68) created by expert mixologists, and some of the best decor in town.

The decor is an impressive blend of east meets west without overdoing the cliche design motif. And while the menu and staff are a blend of western and eastern as well, the fusion works in a high-end way.

Prices are expensive, but the offerings match the fee and for Shanghai the cost of high-end food and drink is slowly matching the prices in Manhattan or Tokyo.
