The Space Needle, Pioneer Square, museums galore...Seattle's got it all, but for foodies, the place to be is Pike Place Market. Whether you're looking for high-class or budget lodging, downtown Seattle has plenty of hotels within easy walking distance of the market, along with dozens of other attractions.
Can't get enough of what Pike Place has to offer? Why not sleep there? I don't mean curl up in a sleeping bag and rise when the friendly produce vendors starting setting up for the day. The Inn at the Market is exactly as it sounds, and the Euro-decor, attentive service and market roof-top patio might bump it to the top of your list, too.
If a day at the market has your body screaming for deep sunken tubs, exquisite bedding and first-class service, the Four Seasons Seattle is just down the street from Pike Place. The Red Lion and Alexis are within a few blocks, as are the Hilton, Hotel Monaco and Pacific Plaza. And the Fairmont Olympic is the definition of Seattle luxury, not to mention an easy walk to the market.
Being tight on money doesn't mean you have to take a bus or cab to Pike Place. The Moore Hotel is one of the closest to the market there is, and quite affordable.
