Since Savannah has become known nationally, it has added a lot of fun things to do for visitors. A great way to get acquainted with the city is a GreenFeet Walkabout, a walking tour of the flowers, plants and trees of historic Savannah. You'll enjoy local stories and fun facts as told by licensed tour guide Roy Heizer. Wormsloe Plantation is worth a trip if only to see the welcoming mile-long driveway lined with huge live oak trees. A Savannah Movie Tour is also an interesting way to spend an afternoon. The 90-minute tour features 65 film locations along with clips shown on LCD screens. Stops include the Mercer House and the place where Forrest Gump sat on a bench. Cobblestoned River Street runs through the historic district and the riverfront. If you walk down the street you can get to know the different districts while admiring the historical buildings and landmarks. Whatever you do on your visit to Savannah, make sure you take time to enjoy at least a couple of these fun things to do.
