Description:
The concept of Spicy Chile is a pay-what-you-wish tour. They meet several times a week at different locations, and the number of people that show up is the number of people that go. There is no need to book in advance. That means the number of people on the tour can vary from about two to about twenty, but the trained guides should be able to deal with that with no problem.
From the meeting point, this tour takes you through the old "pocket plaza" of Concha y Toro, one of the best-preserved classic plazas of Santiago, which is cobblestoned and surrounded by large old houses. From there, you go to the fantastical play structure-filled Plaza Brasil, which serves as the backyard for people living in this area. You also visit the important performance space of Galpón Victor Jarra, named for an important Chilean folk hero. The tour winds through some important architecture in the neighborhood, and leaves you in front of the Museo the La Memoria, Chile's museum to the 1973-1989 dictatorship.
This tour meets at the exit of the República metro station, on the Cumming side, and starts on M-W-F at 10 AM. The tour lasts four hours.
