NileGuide Expert Says:
The best (and probably only) piadinas in town, with loads of fresh vegetables.

NileGuide Expert tip:
A cheap but good place to eat not too far off the beaten path near the Baquedano metro.
Description:
Carlos Orellana's gamble on the corner of Juana Lestonac and Bustamante in Santiago's Providencia neighborhood has absolutely paid off. With a solid menu of good pizzas with lots of fresh toppings, and their excellent piadinas (pizza dough folded over sandwich fillings), including one with cooked eggplant, raw arugula and tasty shaved cheese, keep people coming back for more.
The restaurant itself has seating for about 25 inside, a few spots at the bar, and several outside tables. You'll find locals and the occasional foreigner milling about, going for a lunchtime meal (they also have good local beers), or an evening decadent pastry. They have several varieties of whipped-cream-piled coffee drinks, but their cortado (like a tiny latte) is a classic.
In addition to the restaurant, they also have a pastry shop/minimarket next door where you can buy cookies per kilo and also pick up bread and other baked goods.
