First thing you want to do in Santiago de Cuba is to find a spot to lay your head. While there aren't a ton of hotels the ones that exist definitely give you options. There are cottages inside the Parque Baconao, which is great for those who want a secluded natural setting but are still just a short jaunt to the city and the beach. For the city dwelling, luxury seekers choose the neoclassical Hotel Casa Granda with its air of French attitude. If sunny beaches and sea air are more your speed then check out Hotel Bucanero just South of the city with its own private beach. Any way you stay, the hotels in Santiago de Cuba will treat you right.
