NileGuide Expert tip:
Stop by any day from 4 pm to 6 pm for generous Happy Hour deals on drinks and pub fare. The Brewhouse Enchiladas (with filet mignon and wild mushrooms) is the best thing on the menu. The dish is $19, but it's well worth it and more than enough for two people to share.
Description:
The
Brewhouse is known for its greasy comfort food, live music, and of course frosty home brews, fermented to perfection on site in seven-gallon batches. Montecito Street Wheat, Nirvana Pale Ale, Harry Porter, and Saint Barb's Abbey are a few favorites on tap, while steaks, fish, calamari, and spicy enchiladas keep patrons full and thirsty. The lowlit haunt is off the beaten track by the train station, and local drinkers and bands swing by for evenings of live music from Wednesday through Saturday. The annual Oktoberfest event promises steins and beer maidens, so bring your lederhosen is you're stopping by during the month of October. If you miss German-inspired celebration, rest assured—it's always a beer festival at the Brewhouse.
