The heart of State Street is packed with college kids and fresh IDs on any given night (especially Thursday through Saturday), but the nightlife scene could not be any different at Elsie's Tavern, a short walk away from the madness. Hidden down a dead end road off of Chapala Street, you'll find a low lit hideaway where pints of beer and agave-wine margaritas are served to hipper than hip locals who want nothing to do with the popular clubs in town.
