San Juan's history can be felt in its oldest city. Old San Juan beams with culture and a rich past. The most popular historical site is El Morro, used 500 years ago to protect the coastline from invading enemies. Today, you can saunter around the fort and learn about Puerto Rico's history. Around the rest of town, you'll find many more sites as exciting as El Morro. There are museums, churches, a city hall, barracks and even a cemetary. You might find a few people dressed as conquistadors too, so play pretend in Old San Juan. The backdrop feels like a tale.
