For a city as fun as San Francisco, it's no surprise that it is teeming with equally fun restaurants. Whether you're looking for dinner theater, live music with your meal, or just a fun atmosphere, these top ten fun San Francisco restaurants are sure to fit the bill.
First thing's first: dinner theater. San Francisco is home to Teatro Zinzanni, the stateside outpost of a popular Canadian dinner theater and aerial troupe. The show changes frequently but it is always entertaining. In the same vein but a bit more risqué is Supperclub where dinner is served to you as you lounge in beds. The performances range from performance art to drag theater to strip teases.
Live music with your meal abounds in San Francisco as well. Yoshi's is legendary for great sushi served with a side of some serious jazz. The Collosseo in North Beach differentiates itself from other run-of-the-mill Italian joints in the neighborhood by employing an opera singer as a waiter. Pena Pachamama often brings in a flamenco troupe.
Then there are the restaurants that are just plain fun for the food they serve or the ambiance they bring. Any of the restaurants on Belden Lane are great on a rare warm evening as their patios meld into one big party; we're partial to B44 because it has the added fun of tapas. And we had to throw Yank Sing into the mix because Sunday dim sum brunch is a great tradition and the hustle-bustle of the dumpling carts keeps things interesting.
