Description:
It may come as a surprise to you, but Utah actually has quite a thriving film community. In large part, that's due to the world-famous Sundance Film Festival; but that only takes place once a year, in January. The Salt Lake Film Center, however, offers free screenings and discussions year-round.
In 2002, producer Geralyn Dreyfous created this center to help close the gap between Sundance and its host community. Not only does the center screen a wide variety of films each week, but it also assembles a panel of relevant speakers to accompany most films.
If you're interested, check out the website; constantly updated, this will tell you all there is to know about upcoming events.
Locations vary, so be sure to make a note of the particular venue of your film.
