After Rotterdam was bombed in the Second World War, the city was patiently  rebuilt and has now turned into an international, multi-cultural melting pot. The Historical Museum of Rotterdam (also known as the Museum het Schielandshuis) depicts this rich history and culture of the city. Housed in a 17th century building that stands witness to the World War, the museum showcases Dutch culture and evolution of the city in a fun, interactive manner.

The shop attached to the museum sells postcards, calendars, silverware, and other luxury gifts.
