Description:
If you like mountains of pasta and a bit of kitsch, then Alfredo's is your place-- its an old Roman establishment whose owner has immortalized himself-- literally. Take a look at above the entrance at the charioteer sculptural relief and notice who is at the helm. Ego is almost as big as the literal mountains of pasta served here. According to Rome legend, silent film stars Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford were guests and in such awe of Alfredo and his restaurant that they gave him gold cutlery. Look around and you will see it in use.
