Fondly known as Bar do Gomes in honor of the family that has run the bar since its reputation in 1919, Armazem São Thiago has been a Santa Teresa institution since 1919. Old family photos and newspaper cuttings line the walls, while locals lean on the long wooden bar to nibble on petiscos and catch up on gossip. Decent full meals are available, but most people come here to soak up the old-time atmosphere and enjoy an ice-cold beer or one of the 32 types of cachaça.
