This world-class golf tournament draws hundreds of talented golfers and thousands of spectators each year. It occurs annually in July, and in 2010 will take place from July 12 - July 18th, opposite The British Open. Additionally, the Reno-Tahoe Open is integrating some excellent programs for families and women this year, making it an all around great activity for nature lovers, families, golf enthusiasts and more. Northern Nevada's only PGA TOUR event takes place at the base of Mount Rose in the Galena Forest on a course designed by Jack Nicklaus (and is considered one of his best designs).
