tinto Bife and Trattoria
Address:
Description:
Side by side, Tinto Bife specializes in imported Argentinian beef and Trattoria serves delicious Italian food. Each of these restaurants will ask if you would like to see menus from both restaurants and they have no problem bringing you a steak from Tinto Bife and your guest pasta from Trattoria and a drink from the shared bar. Meals begin with complimentary warm Italian pan chapata bread and garlic herb butter. They serve excellent Chilean and Argentinian wines. I could have made a meal of the Conche y Toro Trio Reserve Chardonnay and the pan chapata. The imported Argentinian beef is always perfectly cooked. Their secret recipe hamburger with a glass of red wine, however, isn't so hot. Trattoria's ravioli is excellent, tastes like it was made by Italian hands as its very similar to what I ate while living in Italy. Oysters on the half-shell are also very good. If you're interested in something less than a full meal, they serve excellent home-made pizzas. Sunday morning buffet from 9:00 to 12:00 is accompanied by an organist and saxophone player. I enjoyed the quesadillas de flor de calabaza (squash flower) and my friend raved over the quesadillas de Huitlochche. Reservations are suggested for Sunday brunch.
