The Hampton website advertises "Walk around the streets near our Queretaro, Mexico, hotel to discover little plazas leading to narrow alleys and ivy-draped haciendas." I highly advise you not go wandering around the area surrounding the hotel, there are no quaint little alleyways nearby, the hotel is located between two major highways. You'll need a cab to take you several miles away to the quaint narrow alleys and charming bougainvillea draped haciendas.

Opened in the summer of 2010, Hampton House is a 178 room business hotel located within a block of Tecnologia de Monterrey and near several industrial plants, including Kellogg's, Watlow, Productos Pennsylvania, Gerber/Nestlé and Vitro. There's no restaurant in the hotel or within walking distance but there is a refrigerated counter beside the lobby where you can purchase salads and sandwiches to eat in your room. Complimentary continental breakfast buffet is served in the lobby in the morning. Rooms have a mini-refrigerator and microwave in case you want to bring in food and nearby Pizza Hut and Dominos will deliver to your room. Free wireless internet access, new flat screen televisions. Outside pool. Ample outdoor parking, free airport shuttle. When I stayed there, it had only been open a few weeks and there was a power outage and back-up generator failure in the early morning…no coffee, no elevator, no lights, no hot water. Staff apologized profusely and volunteered to comp that night. Staff is polite and anxious to please. Everyone at the reception desk spoke excellent English. Many local hotels have Mexican style beds, without inner springs, which American and European visitors sometimes find hard and uncomfortable. But the Hampton has wonderfully comfortable American style beds with soft bedding and pillows. It also has heating and air conditioning, which you won't find in most local hotels. They advertise their beds are clean and rooms are comfortable and I found them to be just that, which counts in my book.
