Queenstown is a town that defines the word 'active'. If you want to get out and play in the beautiful landscaper, here are ten possibilities for you to consider. You'll first need to decide on where you want to be. There is plenty of fun in the mountains such as tramping (hiking in Kiwispeak) and skiing. Or you might catch some air by jumping out of a plane or off a bridge. If you enjoy hitting a little white ball round, head up to Arrowtown to one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. It's not far away and there is plenty of scenery to get lost in along the way. Speaking of getting lost, how about hiring a bike and cycling along an old rail trail. You can go all the way to Dunedin if you fancy. You can always let someone else do the walking, or rolling as the case may be, and try your hand at driving a quad bike through some serious New Zealand mud. Or, let someone else do the flying and go up in a helicopter. The views are unforgettable. Or do some sort of combination. One of the most popular is to go out on the water for a bit of a cruise, then a hike, then cruise on back. If you feel so inclined, you could just make a day of it and go fishing. Dinner's on you!
