Just across from another good Caribbean cafe, Soda Miss Lidia's Place, Soda Miss Sam's is the little sister of the two. Though the ambience inside is decidedly better across the street, Miss Sam's has its charms, too. The menu has gallo pinto for breakfast, standard Caribbean casado plates for lunch and dinner, and is priced for the budget traveler; most plates still hover around $5.
